I’d like to believe that the afterlife is more than a choice between heat combustion and an abundance of dairy. Forty madonnas sounded kind of interesting but what comes after those 40 minutes of bliss? And I’m not enthusiastic about a return as an animal that can’t speak or use toilet paper. But I do find myself wondering if the next life will be better, worse, or nonexistent.
Did we exist before we were born and would we know this after we pass on? And since we’ll never know the answers to any of those two questions while we are in transit, what should we be most concerned about now? Is life as we know it simply a metaphor for pre-life and afterlife? But more pertinently regarding this post, I’m sure you’re wondering by now, what’s the point of it all? And that my friends is what I’ve been wondering about life.
